Edit images with Hermes Agent

Hermes Agent is an open-source AI agent by NousResearch built for tool use and autonomous task execution. It speaks MCP natively, which means you can point it straight at babbleBrush and have it work your canvas without any extra glue.

Connect Hermes Agent to the babbleBrush Mac app and edit images just by talking to it. Whatever Hermes changes shows up on your canvas while you watch. While babbleBrush is open it runs a small MCP server on your Mac — point Hermes at it once, and from then on it can work the same canvas you're looking at. Ask it to generate a logo, drop the background, or rough out a few directions, and it does the work right there in the app.

Connect Hermes to the app

This takes about a minute. Keep babbleBrush open so its MCP server is running, then hook up Hermes.

1. In babbleBrush, open Settings and find Connect an agent (MCP). Check that the status says Running.
2. Open the Setup menu and choose Copy config JSON. Paste it into your Hermes MCP configuration. It will look something like this:

3. Open Hermes and start editing. Try something like "create a canvas and generate a mountain landscape" or "remove the background from this one." Hermes checks what canvas you have open first, then makes the change in the app.

Using a different agent or tool? The discovery file at ~/.babblebrush/mcp.json has everything you need to connect any MCP-compatible client.
