Privacy

babbleBrush is designed to be private by default: your images and history stay on your Mac, and you control which AI provider sees what.

Your work stays on your Mac

Canvases, source images, generated images, prompts, version history, batch canvases, and batch results are stored locally on your Mac. babbleBrush does not upload this workspace to babbleBrush servers. Local features such as background removal run on your Mac and never send your image to a provider.

You bring your own AI key

babbleBrush does not bill you for AI usage or mark it up. You add your own Gemini, xAI, or OpenAI key in the app. When a generation or edit is requested, the Mac app sends the necessary request directly to the provider you choose. That processing is governed by that provider's terms, privacy policy, retention settings, and account configuration — babbleBrush just passes the request through.

What babbleBrush services handle

babbleBrush's services handle purchase checkout, licence creation, and licence activation. These are separate from your local image workspace. Payments are processed by Stripe, and we never store your full payment details. A licence activates one Mac at a time and can be transferred by releasing that activation.

Local AI agents

While the app is open, it runs a local Model Context Protocol (MCP) server for connected agents such as Claude or Codex. This stays on your Mac and shares only the workspace the serving user has open. The connection token is generated on your Mac — treat it as a secret, connect only trusted local clients, and never publish your ~/.babblebrush/mcp.json.

Free browser tools

The browser tools on this site run entirely in the current tab. Your images and screenshots are processed locally in your browser and are never uploaded to a server.

This policy describes babbleBrush products as they are today and may be updated as features change. Questions about privacy? Contact support.
